chopping

i know the 500 does not have the patched phrase function, but what are some other ways to chop samples, is there anyway to do it on the mpc itself or do you have to use a computer? any suggestions would be great this has been bugging me a while.

If you do a search there are alot better threads than this one on explaining the best ways to chop, this is the first decent one I came along.

Audacity is totally free works pretty good too. If you need some help chopping with it once you download it ask around in the Production techniques forum here at mpc forums, the peeps in there should have some great tips for you.

how do u chopp with audocity?

just mark the section you want to cut out and then just discard the file.
