MPC1000 & CUBASE

Trying to export the some real time beats from my MPC to cubase on my Laptop, do I need an external sound card? other than the one that my laptop has got, can I just plug the MPC usb to the usb of my laptop and 'away we go' ? what do I need to hook them both up?

you have to sync up your mpc with your computer.
you need a soundcard.
