You don't "need" anything for the 60.

i know the 3.0 gives u 13-26 sec of sample time, but can i shop teh samples in the 60, like u do in 2k or xl??

Err.... huh?

You mean chop the samples? Yes, you can. Not the same way of doing it in the 2000 or 2000xl but you can chop them.

And if you wanted more sample time, you don't need an S series sampler. Get whatever other sampler you want. You can always just sample at 45 rpm anyway and slow it down in the MPC. Gives you a lot more sample time.

s950 does not give you more sample time, and has an even smaller screen. you can ask questions all day, but ultimately you have to try them out yourself and make a decision.

BTW i was talking about a S5000 sampler to add with the 60.....

i was just told that the S950 has the 12bit sounds that the 60 has.

dont know if that makes any diff, but yea, ima get the 60 1st then see wat i can work out.

If you have an MPC60 and an S950, then you have more sampling time available than just having the MPC60.

Adding an S950 to an MPC60 does give you more sampling time!

really? so you'll have round, 50 seconds?

Not to sound like an a$$hole or anything, but I've never even used up all the sample time in my 60. I wouldn't say my beats are minimal either!

Don't just trip on the details man, there's a lot more to it than just sample time. I hate to say, but what sort of music do you think you're making? Symphonies?
