mpc sync with sequencer programs

does anyone have an idea as to how i can set up my mpc and the computer so that the sequencing program will behave like the mpc. what i mean is, i want to be able to copy all my samples and midi data onto my computer so that when i record voices over the beat, i want to be able to control certain aspects of the beat (taking hi hats off for example) directly on the program. i've been making changes live during recording and it's beginning to be a pain in the ass. i'd rather record all the parts at once and be able to figure out the places that needs a little tweaking (even as simple as turning the drum off). i know this may be a stupid question but i'm getting sick and tired of just clipping and pasting. HELP!!

You might can help me partner.. Well, I have a MPC and I'm trying to use my PC as a recorder.. I want to record midi tracks and also the beats from the actual MPC.. I'm using the midi keyboard from my sound card on my PC.. I know I'm cheap. lol But the MPC works well with the Creative Sound Blaster Live Keyboard.. I'm using a sound blaster live sound card.. I need help record.. I can record the midi notes but I cant get the recording program I have to record the basic line in from the MPC.. It seems to just ignore that.. It records the Midi notes from the keyborad but just **** the line in.. Please help if you can.. It sounds like you are a little a head of me.. PS I'm using a recording program called N-Track Sudio.. Hold my hand on this one please..

alright i'm not gonna hold your hand... anyways.. i'm not quite understanding what the problem is.. are you trying to say that you can't record actual sounds from the mpc to your computer? ok that can be a few things.. 1. midi does not transfer sounds..(exept in sample dump but that's another thing) 2. usually, the modem line in input is not loud enough for you to record clearly so see if you can go into your program and change the input to either the mixer or hw in.. which ever you have.. it probably will have the card's name on it. 3. if you're able to record midi notes onto your sequencer (on your computer), make that the master and make the mpc the slave and trigger the mpc to start from the computer... make sure you have both outs of the mpc connected to your audio in on your computer.. 4. i'm an idiot and maybe you should study general midi recording.. they got loads of books everywhere..
