What's up?

I primarily use a 2000xl. I just bought a roland sp 404 because I wanted a small, battery powered sampler. The 2kxl is just too big to carry around. Sampling isn't as quick and easy I'd like it to be, and you can only sample stereo sound for 10 secs at a time.

I thought that the sp 404 would be a good (cheap) alternative. But I don't really like it so much. So I am thinking about getting the 500. I was just wondering how much time do you have for each sample you take/make on the 500. Thanks, in advance.

Well without the 128MB ram upgrade you'll only get 136 sec( 2min 16sec)mono. With the ram upgrade you get 24min 28sec mono. :D

So, can you use the entire time on 1 sample, or is there a 10 sec limit like on the 2kxl?
