For the SCSI Savvy? MPC 2000 <-> SCSI Drive

Hello all
I had this set up once before. Now I can not get it to work.
I have an MPC 2000 I want to connect to a 9 gig drive in an external case.

I can not figure out why they won't talk. The MPC gets stuck on the "WAIT" screen.
-I have tried SCSI chain through my external ZIP drive
-I have tried a direct connection via 25 pin<->68 pin scsi cable with an active terminator on the external case
-I have tried changing the connection on the drive via adapter to centronics. Then connecting from 25 pin<->centronics cable.
-I have tried enabling and disabling Termination on the drive with jumpers.

I know the drives and external case because I have connected them to my computer.
I know my MPC is fine, it is talking to my external ZIP with no problem.

Check the other jumper settings on pgs 26-30 in the manual.

Have you checked to make sure your SCSI IDs are straight?

Could you be more specific regarding the SCSI ID's?

-I made sure not to set it to ID 6, because that belongs to the MPC
-I made sure not to set it to the same ID as the ZIP when I tried SCSI chaining it.
-I've tried each of the SCSI ID's using the external ID selector on the drive chassis.

-Jumpers on the drive are where they need to be.

All I meant was did you make sure that you had no SCSI ID conflicts.

ID 6 for the MPC? I could be wrong but that doesn't sound right. I'll have to check the manual to be sure. Checked the manual, and you are correct about ID 6 for the MPC.
