pressure off = note off????

When ive got a sample on a pad and touch the pad it plays the whole sample, is there a way i can keep my finger on the pad for the time i want the sample to run, without it playing the whole sample, hope that makes sense?!

go to prog -> params -> switch poly to note off in bottom right corner

READ THE MANUAL, it helped me a lot and answered a lotta dumb questions like this one
