so I heard the mpc500 pads are better than the 1000. Is this true?

Opinion varies. The pads are indeed different, yet not a bad thing.

Opinion varies. The pads are indeed different, yet not a bad thing.
yea they aint bad, but i think even if i break em in over a couple years they wont feel as comfy as the 2kxl ones or even the 4k.

well here seems to be my problem and may explain why im delusional thinnking the 2kxl had some super tight pad response.
i went from the 2kxl to using live 6 with a pad kontrol(super sensitive pads, there's ya answer) then the 500 with live 6.
so the pad kontrol was real sensitive pads. 2kxl not so sensitive, but still triggers well, i do have to trigger the 500 by smackin the pads a bit hard, but nuthin like whut the 1000 users say withthe velocity on the 1000.
its always consistent the pads, just didnt expect to hit them so hard

well here seems to be my problem and may explain why im delusional thinnking the 2kxl had some super tight pad response.
i went from the 2kxl to using live 6 with a pad kontrol(super sensitive pads, there's ya answer) then the 500 with live 6.
so the pad kontrol was real sensitive pads. 2kxl not so sensitive, but still triggers well, i do have to trigger the 500 by smackin the pads a bit hard, but nuthin like whut the 1000 users say withthe velocity on the 1000.
its always consistent the pads, just didnt expect to hit them so hard
the 1000's pads feel better (softer, more responsive) but the 500 should last longer and hopefully will break in a little overtime
