Am looking to get some good powered monitors and for the money I have to spend I been looking at these Tapco joints. Am not too familiar with them so anyone know what they about ??? I mean I got a chance to hear them but didnt really tweat with them. So far from what i read in the site it sounds good, I mean for $ 350/pair I think its a nice deal and it is mackie so i seems like a good choice . http://www.tapcogear.com/products/s5/index.html

I read that Mackie makes them, so they should sound somewhat decent.

Tapco is made by mackie, so go to a store and hear them before you buy. I never buy any speakers or amps without hearing them first. They might have good specs on paper but might not give you the sound YOU are looking for.

I was meeting with the owner of a local store today on some other stuff but just happened to see these tapco. I had one of his reps hook them up. They didn't sound bad. The room was accoustically treated and for thier size I beleive I could pull off some good mixes with them. But I would have to adjust do to the drastic difference in how the monitors I use now. I like them from what I breifly heard so far.
