It might be possible, check them out and see.
dont know how you would go about doing that though, seems like the
JJ'S OS site only deal with things pertaining to the (NEW OS).

BUT YOU MIGHT BE OPENING A NEW AVENUE.

I guess you should be contacting Akai.
It would be an insult to the changes JJ made to ask for such.
Please people before you say 1.22 is fine you have to download V5 and try it out, otherwise that statement has no merit.
While Akai did put in some work to get it's O.S. debugged and we all appreciate that without a doubt, you have to see the missing piece.
JJ's O.S. shouws you the functions in the Akai O.S. that while they do work they work in an odd way or are poorly implemented.
The 2500 picked an unbeleiveable amount of power comapred to the XL, but they lost far too many of the things that made the XL a good box.
They did give some of that back but still missed some key points.
JJ has helped to re-establish the missing elements while also adding new directions and features.
The Akia 2500 O.S. should have been the XL plus new from day one, instead of the why did they get rid of that we went through with the 2500's release.
The 2500 with either O.S. can give you a lot to work with but it's no reason to limit yourself unnecessarily, so you should compare Akai 1.22 to JJ 5.09 and see for yourself.

From day one, the Akai MPC 2500 didn't have a few features the XL has, but in had a dozen or so features/inprovements over the XL. I would never go back to an XL now that I have an MPC 2500.

Autochromatic mapping is in the latest Akai os anyway, as it MTC although it's not meant to be reliable.

With regards to contacting JJ I think you have absolutely no chance of getting a custom OS made (unless maybe if you offered hundereds or thousands of dollars) because what would be the point in creating an inferior os to the one which a lot of time has been dedicated to, and just for one person who won't even try the programmer's proper piece of work...I'm sorry but if I was JJ I'd politely tell you to **** off.
