wrong sounds coming out unto my computer

Hi can anyone help me the sequence that I am creating in the mpc500 can be easily heard. But when I transfer the sequence to my computer it's like its playing my same song from a different program of sounds or something? Is anyone familiar with this? How can I fix it? Even after I turn off the Mpc and reload my sequence its how I want it to sound in the mpc but different on the computer. This is crazy please help!!!

If you are playing your sequence as a MIDI file in a MIDI sequencer on your computer, you would have to setup a software or external sampler with the same samples that are assigned to those MIDI notes within the MPC500.

You can not easily load a sequence into a computer and have it playback the same as it does on the MPC500. Why do you want to do this?

You can record the MPC500 output back into the MPC500 as a sample, and then playback that .WAV file on your computer.

I hook it up to my computer and when I make the song one long sequence I then put it on my computer it shows as a quicktime file. But this file I can put into itunes and play it. but it plays the wrong sounds back. I am not using any keyboard or anything only the sounds that are on the mpc exept one sample which I have taken from a song on my computer. But with all this it wont play the same sounds when Im trying to just put the final copy on my computer. (HEELLLP!!!!!)

You need to record the MPC500 output of the sequence back into the MPC500 as a sample, by re-recording the MPC500 output, then you can playback the resulting .WAV file on your computer.

Or, you need to record the MPC500 audio output into your computer soundcard/application.

Trying to playback just a sequence on a computer will not playback your original MPC500 sounds, as the sequence is a MIDI file, and is probably playing back the incorrect Quicktime Synthesizer sounds in your computer.

Go into Record Mode on the MPC500, set the Record setting to Main Outs, so that it is resampling the MPC500 output, start recording and press play on the MPC500 to start your sequence playing/recording. Stop the recording when your sequence has finished playing, save the sample it creates and load that sample into your computer. You will have to trim the start and end points of the sample to remove the silence before and after the sequence in the recorded sample.

You can turn a song into a single sequence, then resample that.

YEAH,WELL I ALREADY TURNED A SONG INTO A SEQUENCE BUT WHEN I RESAMPLE IT,IT ONLY GIVES ME 7 SECONDS TO RECORD.SO WHATS THE PROCESS OF RESAMPLING MORE THAN 7 SECONDS?

Do you have the internal memory expanded from 16MB to 128MB?

You need enough internal memory to record back into.

HOW DO I EXPAND THE INTERNAL MEMORY?

Buy the 128MB memory expansion option, from Akai or something compatible from elsewhere, and plug it in.
