Technical questions for the MPC2000xl and the MPC2000

I use a 2000XL with Pro Tools 7.3 & 002R.

I want to be able to trigger my plug-in drum samples via midi, but recently, I noticed that when I use the "tap tempo/note repeat" option with Pro Tools, I get a weird swing/quantize pattern on input (that isn't typically there if I'm using the MPC on it's own).

Basically, all I want is to have it so that if I try to record a 16th note repeat pattern into Pro Tools from the MPC, that it sounds as "tight" as it would if I was using the MPC stand alone.

Does anyone know of a fix?

Set your tempo of your PT session so that it matches the MPCs tempo....You can change PTs tempo under the midi section!!!!

Thanks for the reply, but my problem isn't stemming from tempo issues. Besides, I'm using MTC which means that the MPC is slaving to Pro Tools which automatically syncs the tempos.

For now, why don't you just tap out the pattern. Slow the tempo down enough for you to follow along and do it real time.

Figure it out later when you have time to spare.

That must be something new because every Pro Tools version that I have used, you had to set the PT tempo to match your MPC regardless if you were using MTC or not!!!!
