I'm a rtfm dude, so don't RTFM me...

I've got this beat (and this happens often) where I have direct recorded a bassline/synth whatever into. The problem is that this sample stops to play when I use 1/32th steps on something else. Kicks, snares, hh, cr...whatever. It seems as if the mpc can't handle it for some reason...Seeing as this is just to stupid to be true, I recon there's a setting I'm overlooking...This is two individual programs that has no setting activated when it comes to muting other pads...Anyone care to embark on this mission and tell me what is wrong? It's pretty f****** messed up...

It helps, as well as not.

Thing is that I have no where near 32 voices playing at the same time. Not the way I figure it though...it might be that I'm not thinking like akai though...if so; it sucks big time!

I'm still open for other suggestions though, if anyone has any...

Save you project as something else.

Then delete Tracks one by one until you find the Track that is giving you grief. Then troubleshoot that track further.
Might help you find out where the problem is arising.

Or have you tried messing with the One Shot and Stop Samples immediatley functions in Program and Other respectivly.

Are you sure about that, remember that stereo samples use up 2 voices and when you play a string of samples at 1/32 step and the sample is longer than a 1/32 note then they are going to overlap with each other and each instance is going to use another 1 or 2 voices.

The way to test this would be to got to program mode and go to the params page for the kick or whatever pad you are doing the roll with and set the voice overlap to mono. That way rather than each repetition overlapping and using up the polyphony, it will instead cut of the previously triggered event...this also to some extent may actually be a more realistic effect when the beater hit the drum for a second time it's detrimental to the first hit.

I thank you for you efforts to try and help me out with this problem.
Thanks to x2k here, my world is a whole lot better right now.
I flipped the crash pad to mono overlap, and it worked out.

Thanks.
