has JJ changed the latest algorithm or have i lost the knack!?

it seems no matter how regular the break is that i try to get a pp from, the first chop segment allways is way after the downbeat.

i'll post a screen shot....

can someone remind me how to take screen grabs on the mpc?, yknow theres a special key config to put a file on the cf card of the screen. but i forgot it n cant find the info anymore.

I'm sure this happens on the Akai OS too, although my memory may be playing tricks on me.

My guess is that the code needs a tiny bit of silence before the first peak in order to detect it properly. Hence why it doesn't happen on all beats, but perhaps only on ones where the first sample contains a high signal. It's just a guess though.

i'm sure its not been this way much before, i could b wrong but i was pretty much doing the same ole thing i alwaqys do, but possibly not since a recent update, and it seemed consistently worse with each different source i tried.

ah yeah mbe its the silence needed, id trimmed em b4 chopping them, i'll try that. it might just be the choices i was making - stylewise.

yes, iirc the jjos has a built in christian rock filter.
