who still uses 16 levels?

i use it everyday, pleaz dont start campaignin to kick it, i'll never bother coming here again.

its ace for pitched pp's, or sample startpoint selection via 16level-velocity V>sstart (amp env) on breaks - 16steps of vel= 16 measured points in a 1bar break.giving u realtime chopshop.

and probably a few more - i havnt got time for the rest tho'

personally i wouldn´t go for a virus anymore. if it´s ok to have a synth with no fx i´d prefer a nordlead or even a nord Modular. To me their sound is way better and sits easier in a mix.

aside that i´d recommend a waldorf Q. a beautifull sounding synth. you have your usual VA type programming style and if you want more you have one of the most impressive modulation matrix available today. If that´s not enough ou´ll probably like that this synth has wavetables too. and there´s plenty more to discover.

depends on the material used. to play with.

since we got 99 pgms sliders have turned into an entirely different ball game for me. i now use a program with one sound and all its variations per track. once my hits are recorded i use the 'after' button and various qlink settings to trim my beats to perfection. this has given my mpc1k a certain novelty my synthesizers have by being able to tweak and shape so much data with the sliders. im in love with this machine all over again...

im using it right now.
for bass.
but im also using autochromatic style...
i like them both.
