:?: How to assign tracks to outputs in latest JJ OS?

Is there any way I can assign tracks in a sequence on my mpc each of the four outs on the back of the mpc?

In other words, if I had a kick on track 1, hats on 2, snare on 3, and my chops on 4, could I assign it so that each of these tracks comes out of a separate output? This would really make tracking beats quicker for me.

there's no way actually to do this, but it's a really nice idea.
but i think that there's a big problem...
usually outs settings are saved in the program file.
track setups are saved in sequence file...

Too bad. So does everyone track beats from their mpc to comp 1 track at a time? Does the 2000xl have the ability to do this? What's this I read about using expandable 8 outs? Why would someone need 8 outs unless they wanted to track out multiple tracks simultaneously? Why do I have so many questions?

you can set pads to outputs, and by setting select OR every pad in a pgm to an output, you can essentially send a track to an output.

it would be nice to be able to send tracks to outputs, but i don't know if it could work that way. meanwhile it's a little slower to just assign them to specific outs, but it does let you do more than 1 track at a time.

You assign pads to outputs. So do this:

Assign your kick pad to ST12 Pan full left
Assign your hat pads to ST12 Pan full right
Assign your snare pad to ST34 Pan full left
Assign your chop pads to ST34 Pan full right

Then, set the external inputs on your multitrack recorder the same as the assignments above and you can record your beat on four mono tracks at the same time. If you use the main outs (either analog or digital) you can have six mono channels. If you need stereo, then use a pair of outs and skip the panning.

with jj os you have mono outputs available.. no longer needing to PAN FULL LEFT and RIGHT in the 12 and 34 region.
kicks 1
snares 2
hats 3
..BUT if you want 6 mono outs. u gotta pan the stereo outs of course.

No kidding? That's good to know. I haven't tracked anything since I got the new OS. I've been doing everything externally lately. I'll have to try that when I'm ready to track out.

The exact same reason why this thread is going on, same thing, different machine, different method, same tracking to DAW result.
