as ice cube said the day after

went to goodwill, started lookin through the records and some dude had put his whole collection up. all mint in the plastic sleeves and just nice. picked up 20 of those and some lady saw me and said she had a bunch of records she doesnt know what to do with.

so, being the gentleman, i offered to look through them and pick up whatever. she had a nice bundle, picked up 20 of them for $5. then she mentioned a record player still in the box which she didnt want either.

picked it up for $10 later the same day and she just offered the entire collection of records i didnt want at the time for free.

now i got a story to post up too. yay

hahah NICE!!! thats kinda how I run into all my records man, sweet feeling and cant beat that ish, a player on top...

it's funny how that happens people have these things just sitting around doing nothing willing to pretty much just give em away...then we get word of it and flock like vultures...gotta love it lol....

vinyl = crack

you cant tell me different....

crack it is man, crack it is

i'd say 10% of my humble collection were all donated by people who didn't know what to do with their crack.

the TT is a dual. saw a couple on ebay going for $90, but i just need it for casual playing downstairs or someplace

as far as the records, very eccentric. lots of rock, queen, air supply, jethro tull, rolling stones, deep purple. a sealed commodore record. sealed bread record. and a good chunk of country, especially dolly parton.

apparently she bought some storage unit for $1 and got to keep everything inside, and these records were in there. so i don't feel too bad about taking her for a ride, so we both win. YAY

Speaking of finding turntables! This summer, my turntable had just burnt out.. the RCA cables were not working anymore so I was pissed! I couldnt sample anything!

I went to help someone move into their apartment, and down beside (not in) the dumpster was an old technics SL3200.. Not the best piece of gear, but a piece of gear none the less. I changed up the cartridge on her and it sounded perrrrfect! I still use it now til I can afford a nice 1200.

dope!

i have this old antique piece, that we put our TV on in the living room lol

it was given to us by an older couple that moved out from our old place before we moved.

I never knew it could open, and one day i opened it up, and it has a turntable built into it! Aswell as a cassette player and FM/AM Radio, Sound is really good and warm too!
