Hey all,

the trackmute screen receive external midinotes...

i use a microkorg since yesterday for sounds and as masterkeyboard.
i turn off local in the korg to get no midifeedback, but if i´m in the trachmutescreen the notes react to mutes..thats shit :(

is it possible to dissable it?
who use the mutes via external gear?

greetz chrischan..

did you try to disable midi thru on the microKorg ?

otherwise could you give a more detailed explanation of your setup and problem ?

i think its not possible to disable midi thru in the korg..you could only seperat keyboard from sound..thats what i did to get no midifeedback...the prob is if i´m in the mute screen the mute buttons react to the signal that goes to the korg an come back(don´t know why it came back?) the korg has only 1 channel for sending &receiving data.

i wish it would possible that the mutes only react to the mpc pads and not to midi....

greetz...

i don't think it does actually. could you tell me which note to send to mute track one?

hey ya....strange thing happens....i´ve never record a trackmute in this beat(its 4 bar techno loop, no need for breaks) on track 1 and 2, the trackmutes are on the same position like the microKorg notes...hmmm

i try to recreate it...

greetz...

Known bug, track mutes appearing from nowhere, annoying me since they were introduced.

I use track mutes, to mute external hardware and internal drums all the time

the mystery track mutes are annoying however.

my guess (have not tried)

press rec/overdub + play. (res is on)
press track mute (enter track mute mode)
send midi notes.
bug -> track mutes are recorded.

can someone try ?

btw there are no mystery track mutes afaik.
the pattern is: if going to track mutes while in rec, then pressing a pad record track mutes. this happen to me quite a lot (and to others also apparently).
apparently the bug is uncorrectable.

i have been requesting several times to JJ that: if REC is on, then turn it off if go to track mutes. this should workaround the bug nicely.

maybe if people are bothered to request this also it would get rid of this mild annoyance once and for all. :)

I may be having similar problems. It would be nice if there was an option to turn off record able track mutes completely, and then turn it back on only if you want to use them.

It wasn't a feature in Akai OS 2.10 was it? It seems like they changed up something about how track mute works in the JJ.

the option exists but is buggy (and incorrectable).
press Main
hold Window and press F5 (mute)

the bug is that in Track Mutes screen, TM will be recorded and playback regardless of the setting.

any thoughts on the workaround in my previous post ?
