You're the genius on this stuff.....Have you ever come across this card reader?
Whilst I have not tested this model directly.
This model is a "newer" re-chassis'd version of certain other external models that ADTRON manufactured in times passed.
The build quality of these ADTRON units, like the MPL ( Spyrus branded ) models is superb. ( circuit freaks out there pull one to bits and note how they KILL the Microtech stuff where build quality is concerned )
ADTRON units are robust and contain high quality components.
Because of the "security and industrial focus" of this ADTRON model it is possible that it may operate in an "uncached" mode of data transfer.
Such a data transfer mode, depending on installed media type and speed, could possibly exclude it from handling the standard MULTI SECTOR TRANSFER mode of operation that the MPC3000 exhibits within its SCSI I command set. ( ALL MPC3000 OPERATING SYSTEMS UP TO AND INCLUDING 3.16 )
IE: Multiple SCSI reads/writes for each command. ( for fast transfer speed performance related issues )
Certain other ADTRON models on my test bench work with my Vailixi 3.50 OS when it is set to perform in "MULTI SECTOR TRANSFER MODE = OFF" ( disabled ) mode.
IE: Slower data transfer ( rather than malfunctioning/not working data transfer )
Hope this helps.
Rohan.
