Is it because there fcuking Ejets and need to look at the book that came with the damn thing.

Im a newb to the whole mpc thing and own the 1000 it has to be the most simplest manual ive ever read (japanese never converts well to english) But any1 with logic can understand

true, but comprehension level is yet to be determined.

sometimes one has to ask the right question, and I am guilty of that... I don't know enough to know the right question to ask sometimes.

back on topic though, it seems to me that threads get locked because there might be too many threads on the same subject.

solution if mods are listening...

after a thread is locked, would it be a good thing to put a link into the thread that points to another thread with a possible solution?

just a thought.

I guess you're right... if you start putting up url's to answers to questions, then the search button would not get worn in.

By the way, I have not searched this yet, but is there a FAQ on how to use the search button, ie boolean and what not...

Come on, let's face it: The Search function on this site sucks.

Even I have a hard time finding the right thread when someone asks a question for the 25th time, and I want to point him to an old thread with a "Here, use the Search function!" in his face. It just don't work.

the search function is straight doo doo. gives you a million topics just if someone said ONE word you typed in
