I don't know the 2kxl that well or any other machines for that mather, but some chopping help would be great.

Well for the MPC3000 you won't be asking JJ. You'd be asking me, the re-developer.
Note: I won't be answering these questions either for many reasons.
As for JJ and the MPC1000/MPC2500 OS upgrades.
I doubt he is in a position to tell you ...... or for reasons similar to mine, wouldn't be likely to tell you.

i know that it could be much different
maybe someone can hack a little bit the os for the classic 2k version ?
for example:
-the directory reading (like in XL version) would be great.
-zone'ing style like in XL
-multiple program reading at a time
what you think? is it possible?
i think the engine of both mpc's don't differ much, so maybe the JJ's could help us?

keepitcherry wrote:its funny everyone always complains about the choppin in the classic, i actually think its far superior to the xl. i cant stand having to decide how many zones i want to chop it into, i like in the classic just going one by one.So let's just make it an add on rather than taking away what's there.

I don't think it is impossible for the 2k to run timestretch.....
I think it was said that the 2k has the same processor as the xl and the 3000....
so i would think the 2k could run time stretch as well as the xl...which is not well I'm told... but anyway
folder support would be nice as well though...
