well dont use your computer. however if you can afford a mpc you should be able to obtain a simple multifx box and get that lofi sound you want. better yet use the bit crusher in the mpc. i know youre gonna say "well its not really what i want" or "its nor really not 8-bit,is it". to me that sounds blah blah blah

8bit or 12bit can be done easily with a computer and then import your samples in the mpc 1000.

yes , you can downsamle on computer, BUT , the MPC 1000 wouldt play back 8bit or 12 bit
