Using the MPC Live.

I want to perform live, all of my songs, except vocals are stored in my MPC, I know I can load all of the programs beforehand, but is there any way I can load all of the song and sequence settings in the .ALL files at once so that I don't have to stop and load during my set? thanks.

If you do not record everything with playing live in mind at first, you probably have a lot of work ahead of you to convert your current material to live friendly. I have spent countless hours doing this in the past since I didn't know the best method for playing live ahead of time and also needed to have each track blend together in a transitional track (real ass pain).

Typically, you'd want everything to be in Sequences, not Songs. That way you can use the next seq function to keep things going as well as track mute. You also have to take into consideration that the tracks would need to bring up the correct program as well (if you are using different programs on each song). Remember that you need to load the all programs and sounds file type as well so that all programs and sounds are loaded (.all only loads sequences and songs).

If you have all your tracks individually in .all files, I would load them up one at a time, and mix each down to a single sequence and save. Then once you have all those in midi files, you can load them up individually into the available 99 sequences and then save as a .ALL file for your performance.

yeah, or rearrange the samples you have to fit in a live set.
ive stopped using sequences and just tap the whole thing out now, i got a bit sick of the old "turn track on/off, tweak the knobs"routine. its cool, comes out like a battle set and gives cats something to watch.

it's easier if instruments are designated to tracks so when you change a sequence you're still on the same track.

make sure control changes are the way you want them at the beginning and reset them at the end of the sequence
