playing mp3s from computer:
audio out (or headphone jack) > record in
playing mp4s from mp3 player:
headphone jack > record in
audio out (or headphone jack) > record in
playing mp4s from mp3 player:
headphone jack > record in

You can record from a numerous amount of sources to the MPC just as long as the right connections are made and the right outputs needed are available.

when u sample the mp3 from pc to the mpc, do u get a decent quality? or is it messed up?

The better the soundquality of your MP3 the better the soundquality of the sample the MPC will take. The quality of the sample will NEVER be better then the soundquality of the source material.
