New OS for the classic version?

A few more params on the Nv slider would be nice.

- Mixer Level
- Pan
- FX send
- Velocity
- Filter Envelpe
- Sample Start
- multi mode filters, i.e HP/BP/LP - probably out of the question.
- a TC value 1/4.
- grid mode

im pretty sure a pitch envelope would be above the processing power of the XL or 2000, but that would be a nice addition, for synthesis of drum sounds.

I dont think they are interested in developing a new o/s for the mpc2000.

Perhaps it's not profitable due to lack of demand (too much work for chump change).

Oh well... It's not the end of the world.

Main thing I would like and I can't understand why they didn't do it - when assigning a pad to play another pad "simultaneous" - why not have it so that you highlight where you select the other pad and then select the other pad by hitting it, instead of having to scroll thru to find the pad.

It works that way when selecting pads to note off other pads, can't see why it doesn't do it for the simultaneous mode.

4127 views? I think that's demand. If 1 in 20 of these views purchase it, that's 412 sales.... at $50 a pop, $ 10,300. I'm not a business man, but it seems to me, that aint' chump change.. I'd sit around for month writing that software for 10k if I wasnt' programmably challanged.

i would donate to the cause!

and i dont really see much wrong with chopping on the 2000 except that its a little more time consuming. i used to love choppin on it. im just more comfortable using A.A.

Development costs time and money.

Development tools cost money.

Forward re-engineering costs time.

Time is allocated else where.

The MPC3000 upgrades I have been doing/have done and ...... another project following, plus the many others I am involved in lead the way where my project plans are going. ( For now anyway )

Whilst making an MPC2000 OS upgrade is not impossible.

Making such an OS upgrade is not on my list of priorities for many reasons.
