Sequencing a motif rack into an MPC2500

Ok. Here's my problem: I've got an MPC2500, motif rack, and I use pro tools. How do I get the sounds to play from the rack AND sequence in the MPC from a MIDI controller? After I make my beats, I track them into Pro Tools.

MPC midi out 1 --> Controller Midi in (1)

Controller Midi out (1) to MPC midi in (1)

Controller Midi thru --> Motif midi in

Begin sequencing...

When tracking, line out from mpc and/or motif and into soundcard/audio interface

The controller is an E-MU. It only has an output. Now how should I handle it?
