Now when you're samples are ready....

I hope what I say makes sense....

I've seen videos of when a pad is pressed (where the sample is placed) over and over, the beginning of the sample is played (just the first couple of seconds until the pad is pressed again). And at the moment the pad is not pressed (or released), the sample plays out until it is finished.

So for my problem (and question),

For some reason when I hit a pad repeatedly, it not only plays the sample from the very beginning, it also continues to play out each time I press it. Rather than just playing the first couple of seconds until I hit the pad again, it KEEPS PLAYING....causing a sort of echo effect since the sample seems to overlap itself each time i press the pad.

So yeah, how do I get the sample to sound like the ones in the videos?? Thank y'all in advance for any help

go into program mode, change the pad from POLY to MONO. that will make the sample cut itself off.
