please help get right equipment

hey guys I just got into making beats, I just got a mpc 2500 I got a laptop no soundcard I just need to know exactly what I need to record(track) my beats to my computer I have no ideal do I need a sound card, audio inerface and the cables to connect it. I only have $500
I would really appreciate if you guys can tell me what I really need I also have reason 3,cool edit and sonar home studio. but I really luv my mpc I just can't get my beats into cds.

there is also USB interfaces.. but personally id go with firewire

Ebay or freeads is your best bet.

You need a soundcard, xlr leads, rca leads possibly midi cables .

A basic setup backwards for mpc..


Speakers + amp --- Computer (with soundcard)---- mixer---------mpc

Midi<------------------------------------->midi


Im sure this stuff is in the manual it is on my my 1000 manual under the terminology basic connections or something
