besides the problem that i only have 3 pads working fairly, my mpc is short circuiting. so regardless of what i do im going to need vst to fix the electrical problemo in my 1k.
the problem is i was talking to Heath Tougas (product specialist manager) for akai (he was at remix hotel, shout out to everyone whose going!!) and he said that akai has identified whats going on with the pads of the one thousand and it was going to be addressed soon publicly what is going to be done about the situation. my problem is since i was sending to vst i was going to get it fixed including pads and sell it to get a 2500. i love the one thousand and wish i could keep it but don't know if i want to keep something thats gonna constantly need to be rebuilt. but if akai is going to do something about the pad situation should i fix and sell it, or have them fix the circuit board and get nym's solution (which i don't doubt will be great even though it has not been tested of a long period of time), o fhave them fix the circuit and wait for akais "solution" that is supposed to be mad public within the next 2 months? im not working right now so i really need to make the right decision the first time.
what would you do?
