Can a one shot bass note be turned into a sub that makes complicated basslines in the MPC? If so how?

Yes. What I've done before is make the oneshot a loop (turn loop on for that sample), then I go into trim and take the sample down to maybe 2-5 wave cycles and chop at zero cross points and adjust until I hear no pops or clicks. Then make a new sample outta that edit. I auto-chrom it or 16 level it. I can also pitch up down and low pass filter to try and get what I ultimately want. I have a 2kxl.
