UPDATING OS ON THE 2000xl

Ive been searching and i havent found it. can some one point out the thread that goes threw the process of updating to a newer OS step by step. i remember with my 1000 there was a whole little process of going about it. thanks

No process like the 1K. Just download the .sys file and load it. Simple as that!

it looks like the file format is a bin file? I got it off akai pro. Does this still work.

Just another thing too, i just offically had the 2kxl show up last night and this thing is running the 1.11 OS ... My guess this OS is prehistoric? The manual im sure is for this OS cause it looks pretty old too. And for some reason i cant find my filters??? Can some one point them out? Akaipros website says there manual for the 2000xl has a problem downloading. I love new machines, its like an old car ... dope as can be but needs to be fixed up and restored...

any one? would greatly appricate some advice. thanks
