Not for nothing but every other piece of gear in it's price range comes with an editor....Is it really much to ask for?

Why is everybody so after a PC program to assign their samples? Is it that hard to load a bunch of samples into the MPC?

Yeah, actually, I've seen a few posts recently about this as well. I don't think assigning samples and editing parameters on the MP is that bad.

It's frightening to see all the computer dependancy issues out there...Personally I got my mpc to get OUT of that world...I use both, but sitting down with my mpc and bang out beats is my prefered way at the moment. I've got a well equiped softwarebased studio (all bought and paid for) but I favor my mpc, PT01, microkorg and Nordlead3...just cause it's way more hands on to produce with them...I don't want to mess up that feeling with mouseclicks to assign samples to pads...

But you know some people think because it has a disc/ floppy/ mcd/ cables of some sort, it can automatically get connected to a pc and live sattelite video feeds and such. Younger generation is more computer dependant as well (imo).

I use computer if I want move big wave-library to MPC.
I can drag 64 wav files to program at once and I have big mpc program whith 4*16 pad bank. How many time I need for do it in MPC?

I am mac user...mpc pad 187- all what I wanted.
