hey i just bought a mpc 1000 and pad two hardly works...can anyone forecast any issues related to its malfunction that may hinder my production process?

It won't really hinder you at all, you will just have 15 pads (x4 banks of pads) to assign sounds to instead of 16x4. Meaning you will only be able to use 60 sounds at a time rather than 64. Just make sure to leave that pad out when you are programming your samples.
