Is there a way to connect a floppy or zip drive to the mpc2500?

Can't you transfer your beats from your floppy's to your PC, then move them to your mpc via USB?

transfer all that ish to the computer and use the usb to transfer. zips do look cooler, but old technology like that ain't shit compared to today's options. but hey... do you, and i'ma do me.

With the advent of memory cards, floppy and zip disks should be damn near obsolete by now. Plus, I haven't heard of a situation of data loss from using a memory card..... it happens ALL THE TIME with floppies and zips.

I agree, I can remember going to school 5 years ago to use an Xl every now and then, I thought the zip disk thing was a luxury..but these flash cards knock them out the water.

Zips really are THE unreliable nightmare. i had WAY more success with floppies in terms of Working. external floppy drives are dead cheap nowadays so the transfer idea is a good one.

Get a usb zip drive, save the beats to the computer, then xsfer the beats to 2500 via usb.
UNLESS the zipz were formatted on mpc, then the pc won't read them, they are done for.
