Say mane the best thing would be to get a new MPC then. Akai no longer makes the 2000 classic nore does it stock parts for it. And if ya motherboard is going out then basically the rest of the machine holds no value except for parts. Its like having a nice slab and tha engine goes out, the main thing that runs it is what is mostly needed.
Hit that Ebay if ya planning on sticking with the MPC 2000/XL series. The most a new 2000 will cost is $500. Also check around pawn shops.
