hi. ive just nearly blown my lovely dynaudio's off their shelf!. i was just tweaking the levels of a sample in prog edit page, then decided to trim it, but as soon as i hit the pad FLAPP! my fkn monitors nearly exploded. if we all shout -we might get JJ to address THAT issue with the trim page samples being way louder (almost four times louder it seems!) than in any other page. thats one of the first problems i had with the early JJos's, and now im right ready to send my flapping cone fragments to japan!

if anything,
mbe I just need a dedicated 'trim level' (-db pad) like in the mode+pad10=global page, just to set it 6 or 12 db down from the main level. i know its cos in trim there's no fx (ie eq/compression) or filters on the samples when u audition them so u get the full levels - the dry signal, that in many cases (for me) is sooooo loud compared to the balanced, filtered,eq'd 'n' mixed versions in main mode. i can try to remember to turn down the main mix only when trimming, but its slowing me down.

Post a "bug report" on JJ's page - request a new parameter on the Trim page - sample volume offset - that has to be saved with the .ALL setting (or maybe with program setting?)

have also noticed, or is it juste me, but using separate output (1 - 4) since os 4.44, are much louder than before. and introduce a little distortion at full level. always have to level down a litlle before going into the mixer.

i'd probably keep it in the OS.......other (pad+10) page, or mbe the trim page with an Fkey to 'settings' page.
