Can you tell me- for add memory I need buy special AKAI memory- or I can buy standart computer (notebook or something like that) memory?

You can take a notebook-harddisc. there are some on the akai-pro website, which have been tested. I have a Fujitsu with 40 GB. You dont need a frame to fix the harddisc in your MPC, because it´s already build in in the 2500.

Ok. Take 128mb from MUTEC. They have been tested too.

Yes...of course it's been tested...because THAT'S the official Akai RAM :D

You can use notebook RAM as well if you absolutely need to save those extra 40-50$. It can take the same as the 1000, look in the 1000 forum, there's a list of RAMs that people have used already.

sorry, but what kind of notebook memory I need. What is SODIMM?

is the DDR2, SDRAM or something else?

since the same question seems to come up alot, I made a sticky topic in order to spare everyone from some of the redundancy that goes on from day to day.
