Technical questions for the MPC2000xl and the MPC2000

if my samples are 16 bit on the mpc, when i transfer them to pro tools le 7.1 would i be able to change the bit depth in pro tools to 24 bit, or would i need something like an mpc 4000 which can go to 24bit depth before i put them in pro tools, does this apply to sample rate also

No you dont, While Recording into Pro Tools i run my session at 48,000Khz 24Bit and its fine. You cannot have 48,000khz 24bit samples inside the 2000xl only takes 16bit 44.1Khz but when recording into your higher bit depth and sample rated session it will be fine, wont sound any different really though to be fair but you can record in and snyc at those bit depths and sample rates.

so i can record in my mpc at 16 bit and have it come out in pro tools at 24bit

yes it will record your session in 24bit
