I've got an MPC2500, Motif ES Rack, and an E-Mu controller. When I try to track my beats into Pro Tools, only the MPC tracks get signal. The tracks where I played a Motif Sound won't track into Pro Tools. Can you tell me what my problem could be? I've tried all inputs in Pro Tools and none of them work.

did you connect the audio outputs of you motif to your soundcard too?

That may be the problem. I don't have a sound card. Can my setup work without one?

You're running PT without an outboard interface? hmmm....

let me rephrase that

You're using Pro Tools, but you do not have a soundcard...?
Your mpc signal reaches your protools track, but you do not have a soundcard?
Technically, and legally...it's not really possible to run PT without a soundcard to my knowledge...
Geez...I don't mean to be rude but you should have used some of the money you bought the equipment for and bought some magazines that explains these elementary things to you...
Take a look at the respons you get here when you don't even know what a soundcard is...google this...absorb some knowledge.

Here's a short tip list.
-You do have soundcard.
-You need to hook your outboard equipment to your interface inputs before you can track it up.
-They need to be on individual inputs...not one collectively...
-Read up on things...learn music and technical stuff...

Assuming you have 8 pads assigned to each of the 8 outputs of your mpc

Wouldnt you need an audio interface with 8 inputs?
