Find a way to put the OS on a CF card. This is why I suggest buying a cheap USB CF reader incase of an emergency.

cool, you're all set.
now you see why i never install an OS from the internal hard drive and do it the old school way instead.

do you not do it from the load screen then? i've always done it that way, and it's always worked.

Modnar, he originally got in a mess with the corrupted download of 4.50A, so there was no choice for him but to install 4.51 using the CF card to remedy the problem.

yes, i see that, i was asking if you did it that way, and, if so, why? obviously, for emergencies, the cf card method is fine, but every time i've installed a new os the other method worked fine for me.

I've been aware of installing the OS from the load screen for a while, and I've done it before without a problem. But I'm so used to installing with the CF card that I continue to use this old method out of habit.
