i've noticed that...i think the reason is the 127 midi graduation...

what is the noise like? i don't have speakers w/ me at the moment.
does it sound like

A - crackle
B - jumping qlink values (ie when you slide downward, the qlink sometimes jumps up to 127 for 1 value, causing sudden more loud moments?)

if it's the former, i have no idea where that's coming from
and if it's the latter, sounds like you may have a bum qlink. play pong and see if your paddle jumps all over the place.

i doubt its the second nym. pong works like a charm here.

i get this too. nym (or anyone else) load a bass sample or program, get a loop going, and move the slider up and down, the effect is more noticable on the downstroke. it's a high frequency sound, almost like the sample is of low sample rate. how weird.

ok something i get. might b unrelated, not sure. but basically i hav the mpc hooked to ableton, where ableton is the slave to the mpc. then my midi keyboard (oxygen 8) is hooked up to the mpc. when i use the pitch wheel on the keyboard whilst controlling a synth via the mpc linked to ableton (hope that makes sense) it causes this crazy hiss noise. its not ableton. it only stops when i reset the mpc. and im pretty sure its to do with the pitch wheel. actually the modulation wheel works fine. can anyone else recreate this bug. not a huge one, but something isnt agreeing with my mpc here, and im pretty sure tis this.

does the hiss come from the mpc, or from live?

definitely the mpc. my computer is a bit spastic at the moment. buut i got the hiss a few times. turned the mpc off whilst ableton was still on, and then reloaded my project with the midi settings. no hiss, play about with the synths, pretty sure its the pitch wheel having a bad effect on the mpc. wonder if anyone else can reproduce this problem as well. ive got an m-audio soundcard, so looking at the properties on my pc of the m-audio softwarem when it hisses, it says that the noise is coming from the external hardware (the mpc), not from the pc.

so it's actually coming from the main outs of the mpc? hmm weird, i'll try and recreate this, it may just be teething problems with the new pitch bend feature, as in: it didn't used to accept the pitch bend, and now it does.

im fairly new to the jj os, just got it. so not sure if i need to adjust something here. to b honest my pc only stays on for about an hour before it crashes. but loving how well the mpc and ableton work together with the features of the new os. am i right in thinking jj os does record information like modulation wheel movements and pitch wheel movements (i know my mpc is struggling with this one a little bit). cos its **** incredible. obvious;y the hissing on my mpc aint a good thing. im pretty sure it is a bug as it is repeatable on my setup.

does it still happen when the mpc is not connected to the computer at all? ie, when pitch bending internal programs? is there a midi cable going from the computer to the mpc?

I will try for myself later, just a quick question:
Are u using 4.51? Could it have sth to do with this:

1. [MIDI BEND RECEIVE]
A noise can be heard, if MIDI bend is received when INPUT THRU is ON.

putting the input through on pitches a program up an octave. how weird, anyone else get this? i think it's just this bass multi program i made.

exactly, it was worse on the down. and both q-links do it, pong works fine and there is no noise when using any of the other q-link functions -- only LEVEL.

it's like a high-pitched mechanical type buzzing noise. check the clip when you have some speakers available.

I'm pretty sure I've used level on the q-links before and not gotten this noise, which is why I posted this here in the JJ section. I thought it could perhaps be a 4.50 thing. maybe I will put an old version on and see if it still makes the noise. At least it's not just me with the problem though.
