OK...I'm confused...I have a laptop with a sequencer and everything in it...However, I need that "feel" when I make my beats...knowhatmsayin? So my question is what is the difference between the MPC 1K and the MPD-16 in my situation? I have .wav files already....

The MPD-16 is a midi controller. You cannot make music with it.

The MPC1000 is a hardware sampler/sequencer. It would work great with the software you have. What program you using?

It sucks. The MPC is a sampler/sequencer workstation. The MPD are just hooptie pads. If you have a software setup I would get a midi controller keyboard like the Oxygen-8. You can learn how to do tight drums on keys, but if you want to make beats on a machine not a computer go with the MPC. You can do whole tracks on it. The PC can be used for editing and storage.

C'mon man, you can come up with a better VS than this. No comparison B.
