a dinner and a movie.
I would think you need an amp first cuz I believe that signal is line level. Meanin you wont hear nothin with tha right cables anyhow, get back to me, I may be wrong, but I'm 99% sure I'm right I dont own an x-box

Xbox audio out to TV audio in.

Tv audio out to MPC audio in.

do it all the time. sampled the shit out of that movie "Kung Pow", on DVD, playing out of the Xbox.

The only problem you might have is if your TV is old school and doesnt have audio out....in which case, you are SOL.

the x-boxs audio outs to the MPCs audio (or digi) ins? Get a Y connector from radio shack (2 1/4 male to 1 RCA female)

I do this all the time with my PS2 and XBOX.

XBOX red/white out to TV red/white in. TV red/white out to MPC line in.

or

XBOX red/white out to AMP/RCVR/MIXER line in to MPC line in.

I would go with the MIXER/AMP/RCVR cause they are made specifically for audio and most of the time sound better.

I have even done:
XBOX red/white out to MiniDisc in and MiniDisc line out to MPC.

Something MUST go between the XBOX and MPC though cause you need that level boosted to line level BEFORE you get to MPC line ins.
