Brand new 1000 needs emptying...

what up?

just got a brand new MPC1000 and I don't need a single stock sound or sequence already in it...I want it as blank as possible.... I followed these instructions I found in earlier posts...

Turn on your MPC. ?Enter programme mode ?Highlight the programme name and press WINDOW ?Delete ALL programmes ?Then do a PURGE ?Now go to MAIN mode ?Highlight the Sequence field ?Hit Window and delete ALL sequences ?Now Hit SAVE ?Select MPC INTERNAL (for destination) ?Save ALL MEMORY .....

now after I do this everything seems fine, no kits/sequences/or sounds...but when I turn the MPC off and then on again, the friggin stuff reloads...

any suggestions?...

auto load?

is it loading presets from ROM, or is it just loading whats in the autoload folder of your flash card? reboot it without a card to be clear which its doing.

yeh the card wasn't in. i thought i had turned the auto load off. but it was still on...

we're good now.

What about entering the flashcard on USB and delete all in the folder! doest that work ??
