"Is Akai upset about this? Has anyone been sued? Nope -- apparently, Akai is a fan of the new operating systems, even though they're getting cut out of the $30 fee being charged by these programmers."

Please let him go tell akai, then they will see how shtty they are... Dont get me wrong i i love the MPCs line by AKAI.. like i said b4 in this forum! iv been using the MPCs for a long time i had the MP60, MPC2000, MPC2000XL, MPC4000, never had the MP3000 but iv used it dint like it... Now i have a MPC2500 and the XL, cant get raid of the XL cause the 2500 is not working at all like it should. I got my MPC2500 as soon as it was out on the market.. got 80HD, CD, max mm, 512 & 4g flash card for it, it come to around $2500. $2500 FOR A DRUM MACHINE THAT DOESNT WORK. THats not even it: Its been like 7 months sinse they had a update, when they know the MTC is not working and some other things not working. SHAME ON AKAI. They dont care about you or me, as long as you go buy their MPC thats all they care about. After that you on your own.

So if anyone got somethin bad to say about JJ you need to think again.. JJ doing wat he do best. If he dont do it no1 else will. I have the JJ OS but i dont use it as mutch because its not at all compatable with the 200xl.. i wish JJ can fix that.. not even the the Akai OS all compatable with the Xl, some of the song work some dont.
To say it all, even if Akai try they cant do as good of a job as JJ. and they want JJ to do their job for them..
Dont get me wron i loved akai thats why i had all of their mpc, but lately they been fkn up.. The MPC4000 never finish now its been that long sinse they work on the 2500.. I have never call Akai b4 cause i never had any problem with thei unit. for the first time i called them last month to ask when the next OS coming out.. They say that they know the machine have problems and they working on it.. HAHA , if it took them that long to work on it, they better come out with a version 2.0 with all kinds of sht in it and everything better work. J
J see wat you can do about getting the mpc2500 to work with the 2000xl cause a lot of people still keep thei Xl cause they cant move project from the XL to 2500

I wonder if things would have ended up this way if Akai remained Akai and was never swallowed up by Numark.

If Akai remained Akai,
the chapter 11 would have went through.
