EQ each pad in a real time environment

The built in MPC mixer only lets you assign an EQ effect to 2 pads.

Ideally I want to have an EQ for each instrument (or each pad).

The only way I can think of doing this is assigning the 8 pads to the 8 outs on the back of the MPC, running that into a mixer on 8 different channels and using the mixers EQ, and then from there...

either have the 8 outs from the mixer go to an interface with 8 ins, or just recording the master stereo out.


I don't have a mixer that large yet, nor do I have an interface with that many inputs.

There's gotta be a better way to do this, I'm not even sure if the way I suggested is decent.

Anybody have any suggestions?

correct. external eqs or track to daw and then eq with software eqs.

And to track with a DAW i'll need an audio interface with 8 inputs correct?

To make it easier and quicker for yourself yes you would. However you can still do it using a normal stereo sound card but you can only record 1 stereo or 2 mono tracks at a time so it'll take a while to do.
