Mpc60 and Linn9000

Hello everybody, i'd like to know if the mpc60 is akin the Linn9000 in any point...i don't have many infos about the Linn9000 (and the Linndrum too) but i like the sound of the 9000.I Know that the 60 is in 12bit and i think the 9000 is in 8bit if don't talk wrong, but i am looking for make some funkybeat on my 60...just like in this video: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=PdgB1pz0CH8
So i was wondering if i sample the original bank of the Linn9000 and the LinnDrum in my Mpc60, i can re-find the both sound of this two drum machines?

The MPC60 is an improved version of the Linn 9000.

The Linn 9000 was Roger Linn's last product in his old company, he then worked with Akai on improving the Linn 9000 and made the MPC60.

What you get out of the Linn 9000 or MPC60 depends on your own creativity and skill level.

Your skill level depends on how much you practice using the machine.

You should be able to get similar results from either machine.

Just buying either machine will not make you play it like the guy in the video, it is up to you to put in the time to learn how to make it play the way you want.

My Boy has a Linn 9000. He uses it mainly for drums. The 8 bit hits so hard that the middle of your ears click. I was like. That old ass peice of shit makes noise.
He uses it in coerce with his 2k xl. The sound is phenom. But I think with the 60ii. There is more relative mshing in sound with the Linn 9000. Only because of the Bit rate. I love Old School Hip Hop. The Lindrumm and the 9000 are both monumental for the upkeep of our favorite agendas. Me myself, Still in love with the Sp-1200. Whis I believe is along the lines of the Linn 9000. Correct me if I'm wrong. I've really been reading alot in the last few weeks. But all in all The Linn 9 and MP are a very original combo.
Problem is they only captivate small peice to your sound. Your talent is basically what you'll be riding you bucks on. But with practice, Anything is possible.

I Wouldn't expect the linndrum to sound like that right out of the box (according to the vid)
that drums has definitive been mastered, tweaked, Equed or whatever. Try to pay attention to em and you know what I mean.

Dope video. Couple of questions...

1. What Synth is that in the Video?

2. Is the Sequencing done on the synth or the Linn?

I would try and sample the sounds from the Linn and put them in the 60 and sequence off of that. I doubt the sound would be effected THAT much.

The Synth is the Yamaha DX1.
I think he's sequencing the synth beacause we can see him reterning to the linn 9000 to change the Track recording.

If I could get one for cheap I'd buy it.
