Need a little help with my mpc1000..

Hey people I'm new to this site and fairly new to the mpc I have a 1000. Can anyone tell me which is the best newest operating system to install. And also when I get sounds and put them on the flash card and play them in a sequence then save it, those new sounds arent there when I play the sequence back why is that? Oh 1 more question... I have it hookep up to the 88 key trition, when I use play the trition and im usin the appregio it doesnt play back what I played and also when I saved a sequence which has tracks I played on the MP and some I played on the triton, when I play the sequence back only the midi information is there from the triton and not the actual sounds I have to save the mp sequence to the flash card and what I played on the triton I have to save to the tritons disk, and to here it I have to load it up both seperate. Is that the only way I can hear my full beat everytime or do you have to have a mac to dump everything ?

Do u save just the pattern/sequence or all the data thats associated then u have the autolaod feature if thats what ur after but will only load 1 maybe 2 songs 128ram is max.

The triton is seperate always view it this way. set the sound ur using to have arp triggerd as standard if not it won't play (on the triton).

Ur only recording midi u need to record the triton direct (audio---create the sample---this machine is asampler just beware of the 128mb ram max)

the manuels get confusing to me sometimes I did that and guess what. I was tryna get the new sounds i had to stay in the beat and someone told me u have to save the new sounds from the card to the memory first or u wont here them when i tried that the internal flash erases but i knew it would do that so I saved all the programs that came with the mp onto a 1g flash card first then I let it erase and I had the jj new os not the 2.10 my boy installed it but then it wouldnt save my sequences no more. But I see I gotta pay 30 for the os im just waitin for my paypal to go through. Thanx though dude. And this triton manuel forget it its complicated I know how to use it and never read the manuel when i try to read it, it confuses me cause I dont know all music terms. But thats why I joined this so maybe when i get stumped I can ask questions and get help i will have my mac soon just savin. Whats the # on the jj os that i should get is it the 4.10 or somethin i dont want to download trhe wrong thing.

by the way i just save the sequence i havent gotten into saving stuff in song mode and all that yet. I have the track loop all the way to 16 cause i dont know how to do the loop to like 2 and 4 bars and still have a lot of changes ups in the beat i set it to 16 to play out the change ups but for the hi hat i just want to do that to 8 but strings and pianos i want to switch up for hooks but im an ametuer though.

Read the maual on the mpc (its not hard) though as ive found with all jap gear the manuals never convert well to another language (like using babelfish).

The mpc manual is straight forward enough after that its up to experimentation.

The triton manual i know (i own one) i read the basic guide and now use the main manual as reference (if you read this baby cover to cover ten times it still wouldn't help but if you experiment and get lost in the parameter screens have some fun and go ooh what does this do then read the relevant parts in the encyclopedia it will start to become clearer)

im very new to the mpc (its my first one and ive had about a month)

At first iwas making a beat 2 bar 4 bar max in sequence 1 using sequence 2to add a 16 bar riff bass lead whatever, merging seq1 to seq2. basically deleting seq1 or re ordering the drums and creating the next seq3.

I have actually stopped making music on the mpc for the moment and load a basic beat and have been using all the other features so i learn to get the most outta of this beast.

Hell im midi mad Had 7synths untill 2 months ago (3 now) i still havent hooked the mpc upto my midi setup. Thats my learning curve so far.

Play with them bits at a time then go back to the manual (it will start to make more sense) as for the triton its the same to not use the manual you are basically paying a lot of cash for some sounds and keys.

Learning curves are never easy though the mpc has one of the simplest only defeated by my nord (in my studio)

Also i bought the samplewankings Trit studio video (waste of cash)

And sudosonic cds for trit (quite helpful for a newb) showed me a couple of things i hadn't got round to.

But the best way is if you don't know it try it

Ps my first lesson on the mpc i created half of a song spent 4 hrs on it (got some pretty cookin shit imo needed a hell of tweakin) saved everything chose autoload option cos it was pretty good. switched off loaded up next day half my samples missing. I never power off now without being sure
