i know it kind of sucks that i dont have pictures up yet. i don't have access to a camera unfortunately.

just imagine black mpc pads that are slightly more home-spun looking than the machine made akai ones. my pads will be jet black (or other color) and will have "unique, minor imperfections" in the iroquois sense that assure "loving homemade quality."

jokes aside, the imperfections are something that i trust aren't going to make anyone unhappy. PERFORMANCE over PRETTINESS, and this is not to say they aren't pretty. a picture would explain all this far better than i am, i know, and i will get it up ASAP. i'll even take pictures of my mold and workstation, too.

sorry they're not up already. i just had some people who i think were going to pee themselves if i didn't put up a paypal, and i completely understand their predicament.

Did you do that with photoshop? I was wondering that, cause aren't there way you can convert photoshop into somewhat of a web-page editor?

I'm thinking I may do that rather than re-figure out how to use Dreamweaver which I haven't used in forever, and even when I did know how to use it that wasn't very well.

hahha! not quite, but i'm pretty good. not amazing though. i can keep a steady beat going.

what i plan to do is sit down with books of drum music in front of me and actually...learn the drums on the mpc or Grid Finger. that way it's more than just studio performance and production, it's LIVE.

the sensor's are smaller than the pad, and placed in the center of the pad.

i took great pains to make sure "corner hits" made contact. by implanting a strip of hard plastic into the rubber pads themselves, i allowed for corner hits that result in about half the velocity of a similar forced hit that would land dead center.

since the sensors have a solder point which i orient toward the 12:00 position, top corner hits are more like 1/4th the full force.

this is as close to the original design as i could get, and it's good. especially when you fine tune your pads sensitivity to the fingers that most often hit em
