about memorycards, check this!

so can anybody say can i use this with mpc1000 also? anyone have sandisk memorycards in their 1k? and also, mpc1000 is max 2giga, so can i buy like sandisk's 1giga memorycard?

and AAAALSO, would Akai EXM-128 be better than any compact flash?

A clerk told me that those both (Kingston and Sandisk) are Type I. But hey, if it works it works.

Ram is how many samples and sequences you can have open at the same time. Storage is what you save your samples and sequences to when you are done for the day. MPC-1000 can hold 16MB worth of samples in "memory" when you buy it from the store. Put the EXM-128 in it and you can hold 8 times the amount of data in ram.


Ram goes inside the MPC, the storage goes in the CF drive on the front of the MPC.

so exm is quite useful. thanks. ill get mine today, i hope. gotta check out is the 16 enuff. is it the type 1 or type 2 which work with mpc1k? you can buy 256mb sandisk with 60euro, so it's cheap as... something. that's quite fcked up that ppl dont know which cards work and which dont. akai should test all the cards in market.

they tested a bunch, i posted a link a few weeks ago. just go to google and search for "mpc 1000" and it'll be one of the official looking akai sites, but i don't think it's akaipro.com
